You’ve got a great logo or design idea—but when it’s time to print your signs, stickers or uniforms, sometimes things don’t look quite right. Here’s how to avoid the most common artwork issues we see at Coast Signs.
1. Low-Resolution Files
Problem: Blurry or pixelated prints
Fix: Use high-resolution images (300 dpi or more), or send vector files like .AI, .SVG, or .EPS.
2. Missing Fonts
Problem: Your text shows up incorrectly
Fix: Convert text to outlines (or send us the font file too).
3. RGB Colours Instead of CMYK
Problem: Colours print differently than expected
Fix: Set your artwork to CMYK mode for accurate colour matching.
4. Cropped Logos or Bleed Errors
Problem: Important parts get trimmed off
Fix: Add bleed and keep key elements away from the edge.
5. Wrong File Types
Problem: Screenshots or Word files don’t print well
Fix: Send artwork as a PDF, AI, or high-res PNG/JPG.
